Embracing the Energy of the Month
This month has been a whirlwind of excitement—full of surprises, non-stop activities, and a mind that just can't seem to sit still! If you've been feeling a bit overwhelmed or scattered, trust me, you’re definitely not alone. When life picks up the pace, it can be tough to focus on just one thing.
Finding Your Calm
The trick to finding some peace isn’t about trying to slow down your racing thoughts. Instead, it’s all about reconnecting with your body. You see, our bodies often pick up on what we need before our minds do! When everything feels a bit too intense or fast-paced, taking a moment to ground yourself can really help. It allows you to channel that energy in a way that's effective and doesn’t leave you feeling drained.

Why Grounding Matters for Restless Minds
Restlessness often comes from too much stimulation or unresolved tension. When your mind races, it can feel like you’re trapped in a whirlwind of thoughts. Grounding helps by:
Bringing your attention back to the present moment
Calming the nervous system
Reducing feelings of overwhelm
Improving focus and clarity
Instead of trying to stop your thoughts, grounding invites you to feel your body and surroundings. This simple shift can reduce mental noise and help you regain control.
How to Tune Into Your Body
Tuning into your body means noticing physical sensations without judgment. Here are some ways to start:
Feel your feet on the ground. Notice the contact between your feet and the floor. This simple awareness can anchor you.
Take slow, deep breaths. Focus on the rise and fall of your chest or belly.
Scan your body. Slowly move your attention from your head to your toes, noticing any tension or relaxation.
Move gently. Stretch, sway, or shake your limbs to release built-up energy.
These small actions help you reconnect with your body’s signals and create a sense of steadiness.

Using TRE® to Release Tension and Find Balance
One effective method for grounding is TRE® (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises). TRE® uses gentle movements to activate a natural shaking response in the body. This shaking helps release deep tension and stress stored in muscles.
In our experience, TRE® offers:
A way to calm the nervous system naturally
Tools to manage stress and anxiety
A method to feel more grounded and steady during busy or challenging times

Quick Grounding Tools You Can Use Anytime
When your mind feels scattered, try these quick resets:
Body Scan Exercise
Lie down or sit comfortably. Slowly notice sensations in each part of your body, from your toes to your head. This practice helps you stay present and release tension.
Gentle Movement
Simple stretches or walking barefoot on grass can reconnect you with your body and the earth.
5-4-3-2-1 Method
This method is a simple grounding exercise that helps bring your attention back to the present moment when you feel anxious or overwhelmed.
You notice 5 things you can see
4 you can touch
3 you can hear
2 you can smell
1 you can taste, which gently shifts your focus away from racing thoughts and into your immediate surroundings.

Wisdom from Our Spirit Ally
Each month, a spirit ally offers guidance to help us navigate life’s ups and downs. This month’s is Antelope Spirit.

The message from Antelope Spirit highlights two key points: firstly, if you feel a surge of energy and an inner fire, it's time to take action and make the first move. Don't wait for the 'right moment'; now is the time. On the other hand, if everything feels like it's piling up, just chill out and roll with it. Sometimes you just need to take a step back and let things unfold naturally; trust your body's wisdom. When your mind is racing, pay attention to your body's signals. It knows when you need rest, movement, or stillness. Respecting these needs helps you remain grounded and balanced. What is your current energy? Feel free to email me if you want to learn more about our allies, or simply share your story—I cherish the connection.
